This endpoint returns vessel information by name. You can search for vessels using a name string. If several vessels match the query, up to 5 results may be returned. The response includes:

• Identification fields: imo, mmsi, name, and fka (former known as).
• Vessel dimensions (in meters): length, width, and maxDraft`.
• Additional details:
  • vesselType: classification of the vessel (such as bulk_carrier, or container_ship).
  • dwt: deadweight tonnage (in tonnes) - the maximum weight a ship can safely carry, including cargo, fuel, crew, etc.
  • gt: gross tonnage - a unitless measure of the vessel’s total internal volume.
