Practical Guide for Emissions Reporting

We're excited to announce our new resource, designed to assist you in navigating the intricacies of carbon emissions reporting.
Whether you're well-versed in the subject or just beginning your journey, this guide is your go-to tool for optimizing input data and achieving precise emissions results.

📉 Emissions Dashboards in Searoutes App

At Searoutes, our aim is to simplify the process for you. Our goal is to assist you in reporting and comprehending your emissions, all while strategically planning shipments using greener solutions. To achieve this, we've worked during this cycle to integrate emissions dashboards directly into our application. While we still have some work to do before making it available to you, here is a sneak peek of what you can expect:

  • reporting dashboard:
    • get a report baseline to easily compare your next shipment emissions against and acknowledge your progress.
    • gain visibility into your CO₂e emissions, split by carrier, location, mode of transport, and more.
  • planning dashboard:
    • run simulations to identify improvement potentials and establish emission reduction strategies.
    • make data-driven decisions to find optimal carriers and optimize your allocations.

🛠 Fixes & Updates.

📉 New Vessel API page on our website

We have undertaken a revamp of our website's main pages, to provide clearer and up-to-date information about our range of solutions.

In the last cycle, we introduced the new CO2 page, and today we're pleased to unveil the latest Vessel API page.

We've focused on both design and content to enhance clarity and understanding. Whether you're seeking information about a vessel's details, current position and speed, predictive ETA to the next port, or its historical trace, you can find it all on our website.

Take this opportunity to explore the vessel trace endpoint, and feel free to share your feedback with us – we're eager to hear from you.

💻 App fix

Additionally, we've addressed a small fix in the app, ensuring accurate handling of emissions under 1 ton. Previously, the app failed to display decimal points for carbon emission figures, leading to an incorrect carbon footprint. As an example, this resulted in displaying a carbon footprint of 0, for a container emitting 0.07 t of CO2e.

This fix guarantees the precision of the data you receive as a client, ensuring accuracy regardless of the Searoutes solution you choose.

👀 Preview of Cycle 12

In the upcoming cycle, we're dedicated to improving your experience and stay ahead of the curve of CO2 emissions calculations. We will work on:

  • A solution to empower you to act on your emissions reduction plan at the booking stage: the Execution API
  • Enhancing the embedded emissions dashboards (reporting and planning), to simplify understanding, reporting, and strategic planning for greener shipments.
  • Updating Searoutes calculations to ensure compliance with the latest GLEC update (v3.0).

:green-heart: Stay tuned for updates!
